both fusion and dtv tweeted this morning that fusion would go live january 21. guessing longhorn goes live the same day.

there would be even better news if watch espn, and the other watch apps are available by february 1. 
My dad's been waiting on this day (Longhorn Network) forever! He's going to be thrilled!
espn posted a press release this morning about longhorn network going live wednesday. it also said to expect watch espn to go live in either late february or early march.
it takes about 2 months to create a decent authentication process that is accuarate. if watch espn is done in late feb or early march, as espn says, that's 2 months (maybe a little longer but it was the holidays when the deal was announced).
Hilarious. If I ask them about watchESPN, they will tell me to tune to channel 206 to watch ESPN. They are clueless.
Interesting to contrast that to Dish - everyone gets Longhorn Network with AT120+. Direct appears to be treating LHN as a true RSN for Texas and needing the Sports Pack everywhere else.
I didn't call them, but I emailed them. This is their reply. I also asked about the insane amount of banners in the guide recently. As expected, nothing useful. This is their reply:

Now that DIRECTV has entered into a new agreement with Disney/ESPN, we're happy to confirm that we'll be a participating provider for Watch ESPN and Watch ABC in early 2015. In addition, whenever we add channels to our lineup, we release a statement to the press, so keep an eye on the news to find out about the newest channels or visit our web site at directv.com/pr.
watched a minute of longhorn before i got up. the announcer did welcome dtv as their newest provider.
