How long would he have to be away to be considered a new customer again.

I thought after 1 yr you aren't considered new customer?

It use to be, Once your a Sub, your always a Sub, meaning you only get the "New Sub" discounts once.

In the last few years they have changed thier rules.

I would think if you pay a deposit instead of giving them your SSN you might be considered a new customer, especially if it's at a new address.
 
I've seen people go 24 months and then be considered a new customer. So I don't know why some say 1 year and some say 2. It must be who you talk to on the CSR side perhaps?
