Ok I was orignally going to get just a ku band dish but now after reading this site the last couple weeks I think I am going to get a BUD.

Is there a lnb I can use for both c band and ku so I can take down my 36"

What should I look dish and reciever HD.

And how do I know what channels I can get. I see that it hush hush.

Like how to I get all the channels listed on galaxy 17

Were you thinking 4DTV with an FTA receiver slaved to it, or something more streamlined?

After a lot of research, I might suggest you leave your 36" dish alone, and dedicate it to Ku-band.
Then, use the BUD for just C-band.
Tuning the BUD for C-band and not Ku, will be a lot easier, and the whole thing will be much less complicated.
