This is for a New TOP 200 plan.

It was supposed to be ONE vip622 and one standard reciver for a third tv

I picked the stars preimum for 3 months free.

Interesting parts of the call:
She cannot explain why I am getting 12.99 back for a premium that costs 10.00 (Stars)
She claims the Programming access fee will drop automatically (I DO have it connected to a phone!!)
The guys installed a second DVR for NO reason - that is why there are so many fees.

So anyway: after 30 mins on the phone (pretty impressive she seemed like she knew what she was doing)

My total for the first two months, top200 + locals and HD with a vip622 and a standard def reciver (no dvr) is 97 dollars, with tax.

I think that's pretty good. But we'll see if I have to call back!

This is what my bill looked like when I looked it up just now.

Your bill is for two months, so that part is easy...

I don't get the DVR fee of $5.98 / month. I thought (still confused here!) that the DVR advantage package included the 622 lease and the DVR fee????

I assume you will fill out the HD rebate form(s) to get the $20 for 10 months discount and that will show up on your next bill.

As you say the Programming Access Fees should disappear when ET (ViP622) calls home and verifies that it is plugged into your phone.

I did the CSR roulette and finally e-mailed CEO and got a call (voice, seems strange to me!!!!) back...unfortunately no one was home!

Maybe I will connect and get the story soon for my own questions!!!

She must've been unaware that starz is 12.99 a month. Not a big deal. It's good that you have the phone line connected! Press menu, then 6 3, do a connection test. If it comes back good, try dial out. If it says pending dont worry. If its all ok dont worry. If it says failure call tech. Dont do the connect test while you are on the phone. When it dials out, the fee will come off.

EDIT: If you can, you may want to try this: Call in with your cell phone, tell them you passed the connect test, even do it over the phone with them. If the fee doesn't come off within 1-2 weeks, they can always reverse the fee. I do it for people in situations like this. More importantly you were just installed. So it's not uncommon to start off with that fee. Make sure you are credited back the entire two month period, either by the fee coming off or by a tsr taking it off, considering you had the phone line connected within a week of install.
