Well, after much thinking, I've finally decided to switch to cable.
I had DirecTV for 3 years but I just don't want to wait any longer to get the HD channels I want. Also I can't see myself paying close to 1K for a DVR.
I got a nice package from Comcast with all the HD channels I needed and the HD DVR, etc etc. I also got Internet so I can dump my DSL and phone line.
There's always a chance I'll hate cable service but I rather give it a try than sit down and wait forever for Directv to come out with the new channels and DVRs. Depending on where they are next year, I can always switch back anyway.
