Got my OTA antenna installed

I have a few quick questions about my OTA antenna install. I have a Channel Master 4228 connected to a Channel Master 7777 pre-amp. I noticed when I was fine tuning the antenna that when I leaned against the ladder I was getting current running through as I felt a little tingle. Any ideas as to why?

Also I have a satellite dish about a foot away from it could that affect my reception? I am having issues where channels are coming in and out.

I wonder is the 7777 preamp is bledding dc off to the grid, take a voltmeter set it to dc and measure on the antenna terminals.

So I measure at the wingnuts that hold the transformer to the antenna? If I get current from there what should I do? This is my first OTA install so I am clueless when it comes to this.

yes
if you get dc voltage at the wingnuts , you probably have a bad amp.
