Now I am getting an error......the smartcard error...I was just on the phone with dish and they are looking into it.

ok....so I call dish....I am getting 005 error that says (your smartcard doe not cdurrently have authroization to view this program)......Tech support has me do a bunch of stuff and then say they have to charge me 29.00 to come out and check my dish that is may need repointed??? can someone explain this to me???

yeah....didn't work....my receiver won't work now w/out my new smartcard

I don't know. What the CSR told you seems bogus. If the dish needed to be re-pointed you'd get the acq. satellite screen....not a message about a smartcard.

Did ABC & FOX just go digital on the Feb 17th? Is that why you did not have them in HD until now?

That's what I was getting this morning when I checked. I'm at work now and can't look. So is anything I need to do when I get home, or will Dish fix the issue?

I have the same problem in Bertie county. We need to email tech@echostar.com, furnish receiver information and account # and inform them of the problem.

I was getting the same smart card message this morning but had no time to deal with it. I certainly hope all is well when I get home tonight.

I wonder if these will ever be mirrored on the 129 satellite? I really don't want a wing dish for 61.5, since I can pick my local HD on my OTA antenna just fine. But it would be great to record two local HD programs at the same time!

can someone tell me why fox is in 4:3......??? it doesn't even look like hd.
