griffey gone for season

Yeah I figured that after watching the game and see him go down.

At least it's just a groin strain and not a tear. He should be very well by the time camp rolls around.

I LOVE Griffey and maybe, it might not have been a tear....but the safe thing would be to put him on the shelf for the rest of the season....smart move by the organization...

Yeah with only 2 weeks left and they being out of the race.

This is a case of "what if?" I cringe every time I hear he's been injured. What if he had a relatively injury-free career. We could have been celebrating his record beating HR, instead of Barry- I'll take anything that makes me better - Bonds. What a great player Jr. has been, despite all the injuries. A credit to the game.

i believe we had this conversation earlier this summer. no disagreements from me. junior is a first ballot shoe in for cooperstown as soon as he is eligible!

Don't hold your breath on that one. If he plays, it probably will be in the American League, so he can DH. Just not the Tigers. I didn't realize he didn't have 3000 hits.

Come on Paul, think what Bonds would of done for the Tigers this year.:D Just kidding Paul, he'll probably go to the Yankees or A's IMHO.

Hopefully Sheffield will be healthy for the whole season next year. Tigers were a different team when he was swinging the bat without pain. I see the Yankee's as the only team stupid enough to sign this over-the-hill asterik.

Gotta love the double standard...
