Guide needs update too often

hey folks. I've noticed for some time that theguide keeps going out of date even though I have it set to update at 3:00AM every night. Then last Sunday morning I forced an update using the check switch method (thought there was a problem due to the time change) but then Sunday night it needed an update again. I've been with Dish for years but never had this kind of problem before. This has been going on for weeks. Any ideas out there?

If DVR, what's your signal strength on 119 transponder 18? (9-day EPG is there)

The HD receiver is the VIP211. I'll check the signal strength when I get home this evening but when I've checked they are usually around the mid-point on the scale, whatever that is.

did this happen after you installed a new smart card? My 322 had an issue where it would update the guide every 10 minutes or so after the new smart card was inserted. I had to check switch a couple times to get it cleared out.

No, this was happening before the upgrade.
