I have an H21-200 with SL3 dish and multiswitch that will not recognize the 101 sat at start up. I can go to the signal test and most of the transponders are showing in the 80's and 90's. I do not have a B band converter installed because I think I read that the converter is for the 99 and 103 sats. I am not trying to do anything with those at this time. This receiver was originally set up with an SL3 SWM but when I change the configuration to multiswitch it reverts to SWM when turned off and restarted and I cannot figure out how to get it to retain the change. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

True that the BBC is needed for 99 and 103, but the unit may need it connected in order to do the setup correctly. No harm in connecting the BBC, so give it a try.

Please list the strengths from all TPs on 101.

If the LNB is a SWM then thats the reason it wont switch to Multiswitch, it's recognizing what is installed. If it is not a SWM then please disregard this post

These are the readings:

Tps
(1-8) 94 89 83 97 81 91 86 88
(9-16) 85 78 88 89 84 87 83 85
(17-24) 79 0 80 86 79 79 81 77
(25-32) 83 36 88 0 92 86 87 89

Upon re-reading your post, I have to go with addnol. In that you may actually have the SWM LNB dish (one wire from the dish). This doesn't need the BBC and your receiver will recognize that you have an SWM and won't stick with a multiswitch selection. Please identify your dish type. IE: 1 or 4 coax lines?

The strengths look fine for the 101 sat. What are the readings for 99 and 103?

It has 4 outputs. I haven't checked 99 and 103 yet. I will try that this morning and report back. Also, it appears to be retaining the multiswitch selection now.

I am waiting for a B band converter so I cannot get a valid check on 99 and 103 but this is what I have right now:

103 all zeroes or na on c and s
99 all zeroes or na on c, s (1-8) 40 91 72 98 51 86, na, na
(9-16) 9-14 na ,15-0, 16-0
(17-24) all zeroes
(25-32) all na

I will not do any tweaking until the converter gets here. I need the time to study up on how to do that anyway.

BOY IS MY FACE RED! When I first started trying to set this thing up I blocked off the 99 and 103 LNB's because I have a very simple meter that does not indicate which satellite you are getting so I was trying to prevent going on the wrong signal. When I got 101 looking pretty good I did not think to open the other two back up. Once I did that it started working. I haven't had time to confirm it yet but it appears everything on 101 is good.
