I may use a old dish with the H24 for camping this weekend. If I do, will I need to use the PI and B band converter? I understand that I will only get SD picture.

No . ...

No PI, as the old 101W round dish only uses 13v/18v legacy switching signals from the receiver . ....

And no BBC needed either, as those are only used for receiving Ka B-band HD (and some SD) signals from the 99 and 103W satellites by equipment operating in legacy mode.

Thank you for the information. Do you know what set up I need under the satellite. I know I use 18 inch round receiver, but what switch setting?

Use the "SL-3" dish setting ...

And perhaps set your guide preferences for "Hide HD channels" ....

Switch setting should be on "Multiswitch". ...

Your going to use a Non SWM set up now, your still going to point at the 101 Sat.
Use the setting I posted the other day, minus the Tilt.
