Hiding the forum does not seem to keep the new threads/video links from appearing in the "Latest posts" box to the right of the screen and it's those links that are misleading. You glance over and see what appears to be something interesting to read and discuss so you click on it only to find it's just another video with no discussion. Hey, it's your forum to run the way you see best, I'm just offering an opinion as to why some folks might loose interest.

Interesting on my test accounts it does not do that. The things you ignore are not show anywhere.

I will Look More into it when I get a chance.

Because of of our mods we have are no longer made are registered to satelliteguys.us if I changed the name those mods would stop working.

So we will ALWAYS be SatelliteGuys, but we will be known as TVGUYS going forward which is good, as I know so many people who have trouble spelling the word SATELLITE.

Sounds like a good plan. I think a lot more people will be more interested in a site dedicated to all things TV than a satellite specific site.

So right now if I type in tvguys.us it redirects to satelliteguys.us. Are you going to leave it that way so that the final address will always still be satelliteguys.us? If so I don't see how that is a rebrand of the site. Wouldn't all search results still identify the site as satelliteguys.us? Or will you be changing it so that satelliteguys.us redirects to tvguys.us? If done that way wouldn't the mods still work as satelliteguys.us would still be the info for those mods and it would just re-direct the site to tvguys.us. Does that make sense? I don't have access to XenForo forum software to test it myself.

A thought, my only one for the New Year...()
There are couple of people but one in particular who on Youtube report up to date changes, pricing, deals etc of watching TV online. He has some inside information sometimes and explains changes happening.

You could reach out to him and see if they want to post here also, maybe give an exclusive or two but you still go to their Youtube channel for all the information. He could mention this site in his videos, he could have a section here It could drive up viewership here and their Youtube channel.

I would do away with the advertising and pop ups. When I log off and try to get back on I have to go through the maze of pop ups and advertisements that would scare me away. If the sit is only making that small amount of money it's not worth scaring off just one future pub member. What ever you decide just keep up the great work. Heck after all of the years visiting here several times a day I still can't spell satillight right.

If you are a "Lifetime Supporter" you shouldn't see ANY advertising or popups. Or, buy a Pub membership, and they'll go away for sure this time!
