Hard Drive Maintenance and searchig for satellite

My 522 did the HD maintenance this morning. Nothing was deleted from my recordings. Now has any one else had this happen? After it finished a screen popped up and said searching for satellite, this probably lasted for about 15 or 20 minuets then every thing was fine. This happened the last time it did its clean up also.
Any ideas?

Mine's done it 3-4 times now in the past 4 days.... I see bad things coming.

I think it does HD maint. every time before it checks for updates.

never done it like this before.... if it wants to do this check every night at 3am, fine, but don't do it at 6pm.... and again at 7:30pm....

That does sound bad. Mine has only done it at the update time (as far as I know).

manually set an update to take place at say 9:15pm... of course, you won't be able to watch anything on either TV while it's doing it.

Yea, I've done that. That's how I know it does the diagnostic at update time.

Mine's done it a couple times in the few weeks I've had the machine, it lasted about 20 minutes and it didn't happen at the set update time either. No problems since. The message it throws up about it taking up to 45 minutes and all that makes it sound like a pretty big deal, but I guess I'm not too worried about it unless it starts happening alot.
