I'm in a quest to find a very inexpensive way to get rid of my cable service provider, and was wondering what kind of channels the Geosat Pro M1 FTA receiver will provide. I found it on ebay, and wanted to know if I can post the live link for others to give me their opinions.

Scott, thank you for the help. I'm very new to FTA. I clicked on your link, and I see a bunch of different satellites. Which satellites are the ones you were referring to?

Calloway, if you are trying to replace a "paid" tv method with FTA and/or other devices (internet), a far better way to think of it is this: "What channels or tv shows MUST I (and wife if you have one, as she needs to be happy with the decision also) have, or be able to receive"?

Once you have those written down on a notepad, you can start your search for the methods that can best provide that for you. FTA satellite is good, but it can't replace most of the paid for cable-type channels for content all by itself.
