Have a lot of Steam games? Check this out..

You know all those DirectX distribution packages that are "step 1" when you install games? Well, they're all still there on your HDD (or SSD). There's a cool tool that will easily remove those packages with 1 click. I freed up about 1.5GB on my SSD by doing this.

Nice tip. Thanks. I also just heard about a program called Steam Mover. This is a free utility for those of us using an SSD and a larger HDD in the same machine. Basically it allows you to move games back and forth between drives without messing up the launcher in steam. Supposedly after you move a game to the other drive everything works just as it did before when you click play from steam including save files.

I have over 360 steam games, probably 1/3 of them installed.... will have to try this.
