Have anyone seen a statement from Voom's people?

Maybe Dish is trying to drive Cablevision into selling Rainbow Media to Echostar, by depriving Rainbow of income. Echostar then becomes the provider, and sells the service to whoever.

I believe that rainbow owns more than just VOOM I doubt that rainbow woudl part with the rest of the properties over this. Ironically DSIH owns I believe 20% of VOOM.

Actually VOOM did comment. At the end of that comment they said that they would not comment further but litigannts can and do issue press releases during these lawsuits. We have seen lots of that around here. I assume that si the source of the idea that they "Cannot" caommnet.

"EchoStar's decision (EchoStar is Dish's sister company) to drop the Voom channels is unjustified and, we believe, is a violation of our distribution agreement. We are intent on enforcing our legal rights in court. Because the litigation is ongoing, it would be inappropriate to comment further at this time." a Rainbow spokesman said.
