Whataburger are the reason I kept hotel maintenance folks in business in Tx for so many years. Their food isn't bad, just bad for your insides. Bojangles is so good... I don't know if it is because my alternative would be Church's or Popeyes chicken, but either way... Mmmmm. Krystal's falls under the same category as whataburger. Not bad, just not good for your insides. Like eating acid.

Oh and anyone that has traveled through Nm, try Blake's Lot-A-Burger, and that is a place I would commit crimes for.

The White Castle equivalent, Krystal, is in the southeast. I won't touch the stuff.
Well, never had a Krystal, but a "gutter" from White Castle is good for the soul, among other things! We had "Gutter Runs" in college all the time back in the 70's. Helped get me through many all-nighters and pre-hangovers.

Gutter? The term for a White Castle burger was "Slider". It's where the slang generic term for small burger originated.
However, it was not a positive connotation. So, it's odd that it's used as such now.
