Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz each portray three different characters from three different times--a 16th-century search for the biblical "Tree of Life," a distant future in which a lone man travels through space in search of life's origins, and a present-day tale that connects past and future through the story of a man's search for a cure to his wife's terminal illness. Ellen Burstyn co-stars in this compelling film. Written and directed by Darren Aronofsky; story by Darren Aronofsky and Ari Handel. (PG13) (AC,AL,V)

Just rented We Are Marshall on HD DVD, would not have, had I realized it was going to be on HBO.

And while it was ok, that's all it was.

recorded Grease in OAR on Cinemax but no 5.1 audio. The 5.1 audio would have been great. This one is going to archive. Classic!

"Children of Men" is premiering tonight at 8 p.m. on HBO HD. I've been wanting to see it in HD, but it's only available in HD DVD and I'm a PS3 owner, so I'm very happy.

I just wish HBO would promote these other premieres as much as they do the Sat. night ones. (Norbit? puleeze) I've found some great movies premiering at weird times by scrolling through my DVR's on-screen guide. I found "Pan's Labyrinth" airing for the first time in late night in the middle of the week that way.

Do NOT watch "The Fountain". I repeat, do NOT watch "The Fountain". About 30 minutes into the movie, we have to turn it off. We have never stop watching a DVD in the middle that I can remember. It is that bad. You have been warned!

I asked a friend about that movie last night, they have the dvd... he said it was pretty confusing...
