Like I'm going to do, get HBO Now when the time is right, providing you have decent IP speed. Already cancelled via Dish.

Decent IP Speed is subjective. The hotel wifi is horrible. D/L is 1.36 MB/s. (Upload, oddly, is 5.17 MB/s). On the Firestick, HBO on Amazon works fine, unlike Dish Anywhere, which buffers constantly while watching off my DVR. I just have to let it spool for about 3-4 minutes or else the image is SD. Letting it spool and I get what appears to be 720
I should add, HBO Now on these "speeds" starts to load a show, then defaults back to the Firestick Home Screen. Makes it useless, more or less, until I get back to faster internet. I'll test that later with my Hot spot on my phone later
The slow download is because everyone is in their room downloading porn on shared wi-fi bandwidth. ;-)
I'm using the free 7 day preview of HBO Now at the moment. I'll probably cancel before the week is out because I just wanted to see the end episode of The Deuce. When HBO gets back to programming that I can't miss, I'll resub.....
Despite my less than stellar DSL, that's my plan as well. Typically, I have speed issues with my DSL during prime time which could make things kind of unwatchable. One remedy to that situation is I've purchased a program called "Playon for Desktop".
This app allows me to schedule and record anything from HBO Now (and from any other streaming service) directly to my PC's hard drive for viewing on my TV using ROKU (you can use any other cast app). I can schedule "Playon" to record a movie in the wee hours of the morning when DSL is pretty fast for viewing any time.
It's a good way to keep movies that you like. The cost for Playon is 1.99 per month which you pay for a year at a time. Cheap, eh?

You can bring back Deadwood yourself, just get your wife to drop an F bomb on you about every 15 seconds. Just kidding, I really liked the series but the language got old pretty quickly.

The language kept me away for the longest time until I read an interview where they said,
"No...they didn't talk exactly like that but they did use daggum and other words that were just as shocking to 1880s ears as this language is to us today". So the idea was to shock us about a rowdy mining camp and give us the same experience if not the same words.
After learning that, I gave it another chance and then I saw that UNDERNEATH all the cuss words were words worthy of Shakespeare.
I returned the receiver -- it was near ground level and easy to access.
Still got charged for the LNBF.Since I had no use for the LNBF, I took a hacksaw to it to see how the feedhorns worked. They have tiny stair shaped 'septums' in their waveguides. Very precision made, and necessary for good reception of circular polarity. I made a much larger septum feed for 'L-Band' NOAA weather satellite image reception.
... My current cable company 'Consolidated Communications' has not gotten into a contract dispute in the 5 years I've been their subscriber. I could get HBO back if I wanted it. But I am happy with Redbox for now. I can get 4 new movies a month for about 1/2 the cost of HBO.
There's an app on the Hopper that removes the bad language. I've never used it; but from what I hear, it's pretty cheap.
