hbo fta?

I was looking at lyngsat and it says on 148 hbo is fta is this a preview or is it actually for real i cant get it houses in the way, and it says similar for 123 and showtime is that actually fta or preview

The Showtime stuff on 123 is C-band and DCII....so you would need a 4DTV receiver and a C-Band setup :)

I heard that HBO was actually in the clear for the first ten years (1975-1985) but unless it's some bit of some preview shows I doubt they'd let this one slip like some have with feeds.

HBO used to have feeds available on ku satellite Satcom K1 for free for a few years after the C-band feed on Galaxy 5 started scrambling with videocypher.

There actually is a Showtime DVB FTA Preview Channel on the C-band side of 123. If you're interested in whats now playing or what's coming?
