E* is testing 3HDs per transponder on 148. If the tests go well it is likely that we will see 3 HDs per transponder on 110. For channels that could be done in native 720p that could be very interesting. Personally I'd like to see 1080i/24 used for movie channels and 720p/60 used for ESPN and other sports.

The content providers not the DBS companies choose what resolution the HDTV channel comes in currently.

I like the 720p if they would actually show more content, throw a few things in like baseball and more than they did last year. Even snow skiing races would be cool in HD.
