HD Access Fee?

At one point Dish charged a per receiver fee of $10 per month for HD receivers if the customer did not subscribe to HD programming, which I do not. I am looking to buy a VIP211K from DishStore, but do not want to pay more fees other than the $7 additional receiver fee.

Mostly I want the 211K to add an EHD.

The fee was $10 per ACCOUNT not receiver.
They dropped the fee either 1 or 2 years ago I am not sure which.

the reason they dropped it is alot of markets are eastern arc only and if you dont want HD the "base" receiver (no DVR) is the 211

The reason I know is I was "building a package" on the dish site recently and with no DVR that is the receiver they put in the package. I live in a EA market (Minneapolis) and said I wanted a DVR unit and a single reciever..the DVR was the 625 and the 211 was the base receiver

edit: just tried and it does show "HD SOLO" as the base
