HD Camcorder footage to 622

Is it possible to transfer HD Camcorder footage from a Sony Camcorder to the 622? I noticed the 622 has the USB for photo's on the front, but can the 622 store HD footage on the internal harddrive and an external harddrive for archive.
 
Short Answer: no.

The USB port is for photos only, or for an external hard drive to move recorded content off the DVR to save space. No video uploading, HD or SD.
