Hd Channels on Standard TV

Is it possible to use the SA4200HD on a standard TV to get the HD channels? Thanks!

Yes, just set the box to output 480i only.

I would recommed that you go to the walk in and swap it out. Most of sales/customer service reps will tell you it will not work. However I have the 8300HD on my non hd set just for that reason the additional channels and better sound.

Be advised that if you have a 4200 and swap for a 4200hd, the 4200hd is a "slower" box in general (changing channels etc).

But you will get the extra channels that are in HD, in a letterbox format, 480i output.

Thanks for the advice but thats no problem for me. I have a Tivo and am used to the slow channel changing. Thanks again!
