HD hookup w/my HDTV specs...?

I have this TV and an 811...

Trust me, just go to Ebay and get an HDMI to DVI cable for about 10 dollars. You are just re-asigning the pins from one connector to the other. There are no electronics involved. There is no quality issue, its digital to digital.

Don't you dare spend $150 for a monster or radioshack cable! They are just fads and hoopla, digital signals do not suffer from degradation the way analog signals do. The required fidelity to just transmit low voltage pulses is minimal. In other words any cable will do. If it's correctly wired and has good materials. Even gold plating is silly, unless you live in a boat where salt water causes increased corrotion. Chances are your cable, even a cheap one, will outlive HDTV and your TV altogheter...

I can attest that the pic quality is excellent, much more so than composite.

If you have an amplifier just take the digital audio from the 811 straight there. Otherwise just use the RCA audio.
