Hi there,
I'll be moving shortly, about 15 miles away across the state border into Southern Vermont. In looking at D*'s service, of course I wanted to find out what locals channels are available. Where I currently live, I qualify for the Boston stations including HD channels. However, in VT, I qualify for all the Boston stations but without any HD channels. This really confuses me and doesn't make sense. How could an area qualify for the SD versions of a channel but not the HD version? Not to start a flame war or anything but E* does offer/allow those Boston HD channels as well as the standard definition ones so I don't think it can be a government or regulatory issue.
Can anyone please explain this anomaly to me? Again, I'm just trying to understand the reasoning behind this (is it a mistake???) and learn in order to make the best choice for my family in which satellite provider to choose. All the HD sure is tempting...
Thanks in advance!
