HD Locals Over Ciel-2 with 311 Receiver

DPP 500 currently pointed at 110 & 119, with a 311 receiver. I am in the fringe area for my SD locals on 110. Would it be possible to receive them from the HD feed for these on a wing dish pointed at 129?

311 is not HD, no way that receiver would get them.

And even if your 311 could get the HD locals (which it can't), Dish only carries the big 4 networks in HD, not all your local stations.

You could get 24" dish kit for the 110 and that should improve the signal if you are already getting some signal.

Just to make sure this isn't a misaligned dish 500, go to menu 6,1,1 and set the satellite to 110 and the transponder to 15 as well as 16, report your signal levels for both here. If those are weak, then the dish may just need re-alignment. but if they are good and your spotbeam for your locals is low, then you might be in a fringe area and a larger dish for the 110 might cure your issue.
