Is it true that sometime this year we in the major markets ie Philly NY LA etc will be getting our local stations in HD over the satellite? No more need for OTA antennae?

Yes, its true however new MPEG4 Receivers will be needed ( which current HD customers will get replaced for free) and a new 5 lnb dish ( you will have to pay for)!!

From the conference call they had last week. There is a replay of it on D* website! D* clearly states that HD STB will be exchanged free but a small fee will be charged for the new installation required!

Either way, pauly, no one knows exactly how much yet.

However, past installs to switch, say, a round dish for a Phase III dish were almost always under $100.
