HD Receiver/non HD dish

yeah it will but you can only pick up the 101 110 and 119 off the tripple sat dish(18x20)
it also depends where you are located and which sat carries your locals but yeah it will work.

i think your locals come off the 101 in atlanta there but not sure look into it
make sure you set the reciever for the dish you are going to use this way you wont get the channels you cant recieve on the menu screen.
you may have to repete the sat setup.
 
Will work BUT you will not get HD channels sans 2-3 in the 70's which are going by-by. (just to clairfy the above post)
 
I got a HR22 of Ebay, I hocked it up to a 18" dish, programed alwrite. The only thing I get is that sertin chanels say, not compatable with tv Himi cable use composit cable R G B for best resalts.
I have a Phillps 63" that is HD .

Better yet, use a component cable. Composite will limit the resolution to 480i.

If you get a HD receiver from Directv, they will install a Slimline dish and any necessary cables at no additional charge.
