Hd receiver doesn't power

Hi, I have an H20 that doesn't power, I have opened and found 2 capacitors burned, don't no if anything else, made order of parts to try to repare.
But now I'm curious, if not reparable, can I buy a used receiver and put the card from my H20 in? Will the card work on another receiver of same model? Any new model? Does it work only on this H20 receiver?

You'll have to call DirecTV to have the card activated in a different receiver. They may require you to buy a new card, however.

However, for just $19.95, they will send you a replacement receiver.

WeaKnees carries some power supplies, give them a call if you want to try and repair it. Me? I'd have a replacement sent.
