HD receiver that i can use overseas

Hey Guys,

My question will probably be stupid and obvious, but eventhough i googled a lot I can't seem to find a decent answer,

I'm looking for a hd box that i can take with me to overseas(EU) and still be able to see free channels or i can pay to dish or whatever depending on if i can use it or not. Do you think that this idea is technically possible like i'm only taking the box from here getting the satellite from there and somehow watching the same channels,

sorry again if this completely makes no sense
