HD reception, What do I need?

I currently ge some HD from DirecTV. How much more free FTA HD is availble if I bought another receiver and dish? Is it worth it? What hardware would I need? How hard to set up?

This should be moved to the FTA/MPEG or Cband section for faster answers. You are looking at a fair bit of investment. Unless you have access to a free dish and maybe a second-hand receiver.
