I want to upgrade to HD, I currently have a 110-119 set up, with a Dish 500. I wonder what else do I need as I hear talk of eastern ark, western ark. I had figured to set up a small dish I have in the garage to point to 129 but now I am confused. I live in the south of Texas, near Laredo. Thanks for all the help.:)

As long as you have good LOS to 129 you'll be fine with that 500 looking at it, with your existing dish continuing to receive 110/119--Western Arc. Or a 1000.2 dish would be able to see all 3 of those--just one dish. Eastern Arc is done with the 1000.4 dish looking at 72, 77 & 61.5 satellites. Hope this helps.

You will need a 1000.2 dish to pick up 110, 119 and 129. Dish will install it No Charge when you order. Let them do it.

Laredo HD locals are uplinked to 129° so you'll be on WA rather than EA.

I do not recieve the Laredo Locals, they where not available for my area so I went with AAD, when they became abailable I was not interested anymore. But with AAD prices of HD distants I may get them.

Thanks for all the info, then my original idea to go to 129 still is a go.

VP 622 does not see 129W
