HDMI and tech chat

The only way I see E* doing something about it, it's if the number of HD cancellations go up. Since they have the most HD channels available to consumers, I don't see people cancelling in high numbers. So IMO if you are affected by the HDMI problem, you'll just have to either cancel your HD package or go with the component output.

Agreed. The cost of "Customer satisfaction" is only one more (allusive!) variable in the P/L equation. Only when E* senses a significant hit to the bottom line will there be any action taken to reduce that loss. One can only hope...

If they don't admit a problem, but change their assembly line procedures immediately to fix it, then the total number of problems they have to deal with over the entire lifespan of the 622 run will not be that high.

So this is a path they could choose to take.

Remember the recent article posted about E*'s call centers, where it was documented that E* customers call 38% more often than D*'s customers. This is one of the reasons why that happens.
