hdmi/component issue

receiver is a week old...hdmi all of a sudden went out. BUT the component is ALSO out -- what is especially strange is that when I restart the box...it WILL work!! Until step 1 setup of the directv satellite settings is over....sure sounds like software problem and not hardware problem to me...I have tried resolution button...tried forcing firmware download...directv says they are sending a new box so I guess its all a moot point but still it seems really really really weird!!! Any ideas? Works fine with composite cables.

It is weird. Most electronics that fail do so in a short period of time. A week is very short!

also seems really odd that it WOULD be putting a picture during the restart -- it'll do th blue screen and first step 1 of 2 on restart all through HDMI -- then no input!!! WTF!!! lol
