On my 3rd 622 in last six weeks this time looks like HDMI is going. Can it go slowly? Turn on TV and DVR and I get snow for a few seconds or sometimes no signal message but so far it lasts a few seconds then it's ok.

That has always occured on one of my TV's hooked up via HDMI. It's in a room that we don't use a lot, so often the heat is shut off in there. After the TV warms up for several minutes it works fine. I figure that for whatever reason a good contact isn't made until it warms up a bit. It's not the receiver because another TV worked immediately when I connected it and it does the same thing with an upconverting DVD player that also uses HDMI.

Since HDMI is problematic with Dish receivers, why not use component which gives the same picture quality but has none of the problems associated with HDMI and HDCP?
