Unfortunately for HDnet, Blade Runner: The Director's Cut has been superseded by Blade Runner: The Final Cut.

You can find details in Wikipedia and other places, but the summary is that Ridley Scott used modern digital technology to fix certain things that could not be fixed in 1982. And one scene was inserted that was missing when the Director's Cut was done, but was found subsequently.

Perhaps, WB is protecting the sales of the Blu-Ray by not allowing the Final Cut to be shown on broadcast ??

PS HDnet's print of Chinatown is beautiful - it looks like the movie was just filmed last week..
