Help I have interference!

I just got fios installed yesterday. I only have one tv, so the coaxial cable goes straight from the ONT to my tv. Every time I connect my DCT 700 box to my television, either through coaxial or the rca plugs i get interference. I get this humming sound, and i get these two lines that go up and down the screen, You really cant see the lines, unless you are on a solid black or white screen. The humming sound is not very loud, but its there and its intolerable. I never had this problem with cablevision. I read a forum somewhere saying that FIOS signal is very strong, and that may cause interference. I took a 4 way splitter, and plugged it in to my tv, but it made no difference. It makes me think that the signal being to strong is not the problem. The second i plug in the cable into the box, i get the humming and the lines with or without a splitter. Can someone please Help!
