Help me hook my sound up with voom.

Just want to make sure this will work..

I want to be able to watch voom on my TV using my TV speakers, but I also want to switch to my surround sound when a good movie or so is on..

Is it possible with Voom?

yes you can
just hook up your speakers through a receiver.

The Voom box has 2 sets of RCA Audio outputs, feed one set to your TV and either the other set or the DD to your receiver.

cool, that's what I wanted to know. I do want to go RCA from Voom to the TV, and Coax or Optical from voom to my receiver..

All four audio outputs are active at the same time, so you won't even have to switch anything.

Yep! Unless you have multiple audio inputs then you'd have to choose your source. I eliminated that issue when I bought my 4 component switch, now the only thing I have running to my receiver is a DD connection, no video runs through it at all, hence, no more switching via the amp, only the component box.
