Tech was here for 8 hours. Replace everything from the dish outside, all cabling to the new hopper. Device see satellites, but when is goes through setup it sits at the step 3 downloading software. They tried three different hopper receivers. Now we sit here with no dish for the site, watching OTA channels hoping it will download tonight.
Help, new Hopper install today, no luck

My install was also today and both hoppers froze at step 5 initially. The tech then authorized them and rebooted. This time they got to step 5 and put out an error saying the smart card didn't match the receiver. He then reinserted the smart card which caused another reboot and then the things started to work.
