I'm trying to use it as a dish positioner. When i first tried to turn it on it didn't boot up (no video, no lights on the front panel) because it had a few bad capacitors, after the capacitors were replaced the receiver booted up (video SloMo attach). If i use the channel button on the front panel of the recevier nothing happends on my tv but i can see the channel is changing on the front panel. If i try to change the satellite using the satellite button i get an error 17 on the front panel (nothing happends on the tv still).
Is my receiver working?? what is error 17?. BTW, I don't have a remote for this receiver (do i need one for just moving a dish?)
