Home built Non-Pen Mount

[Wescopc]

I built a Non-Penetrating mount using concrete blocks. You can make it with 200 pounds of blocks or optionally another 150 pounds for a 350 pound mount. You will need:
3 pcs - 8" X 8" X 16" Hollow concrete blocks
3 pcs - 4" X 8" X 16" Solid concrete blocks
2 pcs 1/4" X 36" All thread rods with washers and nuts
4 pcs 1/4" X 3 1/4" concrete anchors
2 pcs 1/4" toggle bolts

Optional:
1 pc 16" X 30" Pad
5 Pcs 4" X 8" X 16" Solid concrete blocks (additional 150 pounds of ballast)

Tools:
1/4" concrete drill bit (with hammer drill if available)
Hack saw
open end wrenches

Assembly:
Drill the end caps (4 X 8 X 16 solid) with two holes each so that the all-thread will lay as low as possible and still clear the mast mount and just above the lower web of the vertical hollow block. Mount the mast on the remaining solid block with the concrete anchors. Attach the tripod mounts to the two horizontal hollow blocks with the tee bolts. Assemble with the end caps and all-thread rods. Cut off the excess length of the all-thread. Add additional ballast with the 5 remaining blocks if you need more weight.

Nice job Wes. Just a bit more and you'll be close to having a BUD capable NPM.
The key is to be sure to use real concrete not cider for the webbed/hollow blocks. Otherwise a hammer drill will break out a sizable chunk on the inside face of the penetration.
