Homesat 9000 BJU receiver

I was able to configure an old BJU 8009 receiver and dish to receive 100 channels off galaxy 19. Looks like the receiver only goes to 100 channels.

I had good luck loading Microyal mrx1000 firmware on my BJU receiver (ADTH 8600IR).

You may want to consider updating the firmware so you can receive additional channels.

After some more tinkering, I'm up ti 157 off G19 - I'll look into updating the firmware -- how do I do that?! Also, I'm finding conflicting channel lists for G18 at 123W. Is this a good satellite to find American FTA channels?

Used to be, not much there anymore. Try AMC9 at 83°W for some of what was on 123.
