Hopper + 211k w/ Tailgater?

I've been reading about people saying that you can't have a VIP receiver with the Hopper system. What does that mean for people who have the Tailgater system and activate a VIP 211k for 3 months a year?

So far it means you need a seperate account for the 211k...

I don't agree with this at all and think its a bad move on DISH's part.

they need to flag your account when its built . not sure how they know u have a tailgater or not. mabe they ask for a S/N on the tailgater ?? one 211 is all they will let one and they will not install in on your home ( $$ on the side?)

They will jot allow any other equipment to be active on a hopper account. Doesn't matter if it's purchased or even disconnected from the house nit can't be active.

Ya it is a horrible idea on dishes part.
The customers that have the tail gater are the ones researching about dishes new products and are more likely the ones that are going to want to upgrade And put out the money.

It would be cool to just let people have one active 211.
All you would have to do is use the extra ports on the 1000.2 to keep it getting its software updates and to stay active.
Or on a dual node system ,the extra port on a 44 sw.

Mabe they have changed the policy but the reps from head office many times it could only be 211 and the tailgater on a hopper account and that you can only have 2 hoppers 3 joey's and a 211 on at one time.

Mabe scott can ask the heads about it as it was stated more then once by hoppers reps from corp.
