Somebody else's preference is meaningless. You need to try each one for your particular ear and leave it at the one that pleases you the most...

I think this is a moot question because the passthrough function is stuck on "on" but in the future if you send audio to an avr you need to set it to passthrough if send to a tv PCM stereo (passthrough should be off).
