This morning, in the middle of watching a show on live tv, my H3 went to a black screen. I went to several channels and all of them were black. I did a restart hopper and was able to continue watching the live show. When it ended, I attempted to watch something from the DVR and no matter what I selected I got an error. (maybe 429, 1429) When watching a live show, pause and rewind just showed the live tv icon but would not pause or rewind.
This evening, I did another HOMEx3 > Tools > Reset Hopper and now everything is working again.
HOMEx3 > Status > Check Status shows Hard Drive Status as OK.
Is there a hidden routine that cheks the hard drive? Or do I just have to wait until it completely fails?
Thanks!

Might just be something that is a one off. If it happens again, just unplug the Hopper from its power source let it sit for 5 minutes and the plug it back in. If the issue continues I suggest you call service.
