Hopper 3 Remote

Is the Hopper 3 remote IR or UHF ? Reason I ask is that I am considering upgrading to a Hopper 3 and I use an HDMI splitter to feed to a TV in another room.

All Hopper remotes are UHF. They also use IR to control other devices.

and the Hopper 3 is capable of accepting IR commands from other remotes like the Harmony.

If you are upgrading from an older Hopper, you can also use the older 40 remotes with the new hopper 3 as well, if you prefer.
