Hopper 3 using 52.0 remote; need to switch to 40.0 remote

I purchased a Dish 40.0 remote to replace the 52.0 remote that came with Hopper 3. I had assumed all I needed to do was to install the batteries & the 40.0 remote would work. Nope! Apparently it's not that easy.

Anyone know how?

You have to pair the 40.0 remote. Press menu twice then press the Sat button. The remote will beep when paired.

Actually press the HOME button three times on the 52.0 remote then press the sat button on the 40.0 remote.
