I have a hopper 3 with a wireless joey, I just bought a wally and cannot get through the set up install. It cannot find signal? Is there another type of splitter I need? The splitter installed is a hybird solo hub
You cannot pull out a Joey and install a Wally since the Wally is a separate stand-along receiver and must have a conneciton all the way back to the LNB. And you can't put a Wally along with an H3 on your hybrid LNB, because the H3 will take over. I think, but I am not sure, that you could in fact do what you want with that new DPH42 switch.
Where can I get a switch and what would the configuration be? would it go in front of the hub splitter? I still have the h3 and joey I just want to add the wally in the basement, i bought it because I have a rv I want to use it in when I travel.
You would have to do a bit more to get what you want than to add that 42 switch. You would need to change out the hybrid LNB to a DPP and change out the hybrid solo hub to a standard solo hub. Then you can add that 42 switch.... or, you can add a second dish just for that Wally,

First you’ll need a standard Dpp lnb. You’ll connect the three outputs on the lnb to the dph42 inputs. Then you’ll need two home runs going into your house. The Wally home run will need a power inserter(included with the dph42 unit) somewhere between the Wally and dph42.
Relatively easy installation, the only pain in the ass will probably be running a second coax from inside the house to the dish, or if your dish is on the roof of your house.
