IS there a way to set a static IP address and not use DHCP on the Hopper?

Not on the Hopper itself, but depending on your router you can have your router assign the same IP to the Hopper every time. :)

DHCP Reservation is what it's called on my linksys/cisco router. You just assign the IP address you want to the MAC address of the Hopper.

Thanks this I new about this work around. I wanted to turn off DHCP - just another possible security hole. I have 1 DHCP address open so it gets that address every time.
